Special Education Teacher

I attended Auburn University for two years (War Eagle!) and Troy State University for two years.  I graduated in 1995 from Troy State University with a Bachelor of Science in Learning Disabilities.

This is my 22nd year of teaching children with special needs.  I have worked with children ranging from preschool to the 12th grade.  I taught in middle/high school for nine years and am currently beginning my 8th year working with elementary students.  During my career, I have taught all core subjects but the majority of my experience and my love is working with children who struggle in the area of math but I am very excited to also be teaching reading intervention this year!

I am a proud alumni of Carroll High School class of 1990.  I have been married to my husband, Jeff for 20 years.  We have been blessed with two children:  Jackson, who is a sophomore at  Huntingdon College and Tara Kate, who is a junior at Headland High School.  What I enjoy doing most outside of school is reading for fun and traveling, preferrably to either the beach or the mountains.
